19th Century Technology at a Grist Mill
Просмотров 193 тыс.8 лет назад
This video explores the 19th century technology of a working Grist Mill. An incredible amount of work can be accomplished using the force of moving water. Many communities around the world were established because of the availability of power from a water source - falling water. You may have one of these in your community, they are often included in pioneer villages.

Have a good time in heaven rest in peace a very blessed and happy person I love your videos your so smart happy 200k subs even in 2024 you’ll never be forfogten
Fantastic
What is the name of the liquid?
This is awesome, may Wayne rest in peace.
What if you don't know where you are? So you you also don't know how much time you're away (behind or in front) of Greenwich time. Then what?
Where does the worn off stone go?

Perfectly designed -engineered and aesthacally crafted with utmost precision. Truly a marvel of mechanical engineering, using thermodynamic principles so... beautifully...😍 I am amazed and overwhelmed with the genius input by the intelligence and skill so precisely combined with confidence, patience and dedication. Salutations...⚘️💖✋️✋️✋️
Wait 14th comment? And this is 8years old?
I love the video, but you sound American, so say longitude like one please. I know that’s stupid of me to say, but for some reason it bothered me 🤣
Wow. Amazing.

😞 I just discovered this channel too 😞 I’ll have to watch all his videos. I 🙏🏼 the family is doing well
Aww, you could have slide the 3 little triangles, without rotating any.
Fake north vs magnetic north
happy 200k subs… even though this is the last video😢
❤
Brilliant explanation 👍😊💛...
Glad that you use GMT , the french went to extraordinary lengths to call it UTC , Kind of funny .
may God receive your Soul Sir!
I saw a coffee cup and misread sterling as stirring. So I was going to buy a novel coffee stir
What is the purpose of this ev3 solar tracker
I subscribed...We work out of the " Hush Puppy " channel and the " Antonio Serpicolio " channel...Our Forte is the Earth's Binary Star System..
COOL Video -- but interesting Pronunciation of Longitude. I Jest - Thanks Again
Very nice. My wife and one of my daughters have been sprucing up our back yard in the "gardening" sense. I'm thinking of making one of these (if I can make it pretty enough) to add back there so that I've made a "contribution." 🙂 The armillary design has some real potential for being attractive. I saw another design earlier that requires interaction - you turn a part to make the spot the sun makes shining through a little hole fall on a line - the line is drawn so that it accounts for the equation of time. That one also seemed to me like it could be quite pretty, and I think actually touching it would be fun.
The earth is stationary, fixed and immovable
If you look at old maps it shows the sun comes up in the west. They changed the letters to confuse
The existence of the pyramids show that people way before the Greeks understood latitude, longitude, and the metric system. Some western shows admit this, others try to maintain the claim but its been so long known.
Surely there must be some Egyptian texts to back up your claim, right?
Something happened in the distance past that separated the 2
it was my first youtube channel i was introduced ! Rip !😢
blessed be the human narrator
this is a monostable multivibrator structure ? why this why don't we use astable or bistable MV ???
Great Video and presentation. I also learned great deal about Michael Faraday other sources. Being from a poor family in the 19th century didn't stop Faraday from becoming greatest scientist to the point where Einstein kept Faraday's portrait in his study room. Faraday learned every book he encountered as book printing apprentice in his young age thus acquired great deal of knowledge. Faraday was one of the greatest experimenter of his time. I hope young generation of current and in the future learn great deal from Faraday that no matter what your circumstances are, if you are hungry for acquiring knowledge, you too could become a future great scientist like Faraday, invent something the world could use for many centuries and change the world for better. I wish good luck to current and future younger generation. Knowledge is Power.
I don't know what's come over me but... These machines are so beautiful. It reminds me of the USS Independence calling the Amerigo Vespucci the most beautiful ship in the world. There's just something about not using electricity that just makes my jaw drop... It may sound sad that a mill has me almost speechless but I want to learn more and appreciate this technology
Thank you
I really Love this video! Knowing how this was done in the 1800’s is fascinating! Thank you so much!
Similar to eart but stronger gravity around 5 times
5 time bigger than Saturn

Fantastic!!
It's starting to eletralise the salt water
I just discovered this channel in 2024 after reading the book Latitude suggested on another website. Thank you very much for keeping these great videos up and was so sorry to see that this great educator has passed away. Thank you Wayne and Rest In Peace.
